I finally got around to inking this picture - the original sketch is in my Scraps folder - and then continued my 'love/hate relationship' with Photoshop! Quite pleased with how the hotknives turned out here!

I quite like your style - reminiscent of Herge and that style in some regards. Plus it's Pete Wisdom, who's just a perpetually cool character.

Thanks for the kind words and the :+fav:! I don't think I've ever been compared to Herge before but that's definitely a compliment :) And yeah, Pete Wisdom is great! I've only just gotten over Marvel cancelling Captain Britain and MI.13!

You're very welcome! (I'm still not over Marvel cancelling Captain Britain and MI-13, so you're doing better than I am. It was their best series!)

It was! If only they'd put an X in the title or called it Avengers UK it would still be going!

You're totally right about that. They totally could have advertised for it better, too. It could have been marketed to sell better to Americans. Sigh.

I don't know - they advertised the fact Blade was in it a lot so you'd have thought that would have brought a few people in. What scared me was how quickly Marvel cancelled it without really giving it a chance. Sigh indeed!

He looks good for a man who was almost beaten to death by a 600lb metal russian ;)

That was a great story - and if memory serves he did get better pretty quickly considering Colossus beat the snot out of him - but regardless it was one of Warren Ellis's better moments on the series I think. Great art from Casey Jones too - anyone know what he's drawing these days?

I've never heard of him before, but now I want to read about him XD

Very cool.

He's in the (not really very good) New Excalibur series at the moment - but for Pete at his best, check out the Wisdom limited series and Warren Ellis' run on the original Excalibur. I'm not a fan of all of Warren Ellis' stuff, but this was good.

Thanks for posting! Much appreciated!
