Gurgi

I was re-reading Lloyd Alexander's wonderful Chronicles of Prydain series a while back and started this - The books are probably most famous for the Disney film The Black Cauldron, which smooshed together the first two books and left out all the best characters!

I thought Gurgi would be a fun character to draw because there's no real definitive image of him. He's described in the books as a strange animal-like creature who lives in the woods - I've seen pictures which make him look more human - like a sort of 'missing link' - but my take on the character ended up looking more like something part cocker spaniel, part three toed sloth... Might do some more character pics from the series if I ever get the chance!
